- I am a board certified and recertified general surgeon with 40 years of the highest quality experience. I am professor of surgery at University of Illinois and the Program Director of University of Illinois-Metro group hospitals residency in general surgery for 18 years. I am well published and authored a textbook/Atlas of surgery. I am also well recognized by my peers as a surgeon, educator and administrator. I am immediate past chair of surgery for over 3 decades.
