Summary

• Member of the 1968 U.S. Olympic Swimming Team. After completing Residency, joined the CA Air National Guard as a Flight surgeon, and did Search and Rescue with Pararescue (PJ's). Served in Saudi Arabia and later in Kuwait during the Gulf War, and then in Operation Southern Watch. Received Air Medal, Aerial Achievement Medal, several other awards from AF, Coast Guard, AF Association, was ANG Medical Officer of the Year. Rose to Lt. Col. Moved to Colorado in 1994, and went into IMA and then IRR until 2005. II became the CMO for my hospital in 2006 after needing to quite ENT due to back surgery and neck problems. Restricted my practice to Facial Plastic Surgery part time. In 2016, I left the CMO position and transitioned into Information Technology. Became a "Physician Builder" within Epic. I presently work for Common Spirit and Orlando Health creating tools for Physicians inside of Epic, particularly predictive analytic scoring tools. My son is 32, and lives in the next city over. He does IT as well.
