I am a Board-Certified Neurologist, specializing in Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Neuroimmunology, recognized internationally. I have tutored numerous generations of MS investigators and neurological leaders. I am considered the mentor of MS for Latin America, a region where the disease was considered as uncommon until recently. Numerous support groups have been developed as well as group studies such as the Latin American Committee for Treatment and Research in MS (LACTRIMS), CACTRIMS (Central America and the Caribbean), and MEXCTRIMS (Mexican).
I had the pleasure to be the inaugural Director of the Maxine Mesinger MS Comprehensive Care Center, Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas.
