Summary

• Veronica Zoghbi graduated from Universidad Central de Venezuela Medical School. Following this, she pursued a Research Fellowship in Endocrine and Minimally Invasive Surgery at Cornell University in New York, NY. Her training continued with a two-year residency in general surgery and a fellowship in Perioperative Safety and Management at The University of Pennsylvania. She then served as a research fellow in the Department of Surgery and Anesthesiology, focusing on Perioperative simulation, TeamSTEPPS training, and non-clinical skills for surgery residents. Veronica later completed her residency in Anesthesiology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, with additional training in Pediatric Anesthesia and Pediatric Regional Anesthesia at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. After working as faculty at Stanford, she joined the University of Miami as a Pediatric Anesthesiologist and Director of Pediatric Regional Anesthesia. Her professional interests include Perioperative Patient Safety, Quality Improvement, Green Anesthesia and sustainability, and global health initiatives.
