• I am a double board-certified Internal Medicine and Obesity Medicine physician, Clinical Researcher, and Educator with a strong foundation in internal medicine, driven by a deep passion for understanding and treating obesity-related complications, particularly the critical role of the gut in obesity. My academic journey includes fellowships at Harvard Medical School and Mayo Clinic, followed by residency training at Creighton University School of Medicine.
  
  With leadership experience as GME President at Creighton University and Resident Director at the Maricopa Medical Society, I’ve developed expertise in resource management and collaborative decision-making. Currently, as an Assistant Professor and Associate Program Director at East Tennessee State University, I am committed to advancing patient care and mentoring the next generation of physicians.
  
  My clinical and research focus centers on obesity medicine, metabolic liver disease, gut health, and perioperative care. I am passionate about integrating interdisciplinary approaches to improve patient outcomes, particularly in the context of obesity and its complex relationship with gastrointestinal health. I strive to contribute to innovative, data-driven solutions and address the unique healthcare needs of underserved regions.
