Summary
- I am an internist and nephrologist with clinical research interest in hypertension and it's complications, especially hypertensive kidney disease in African Americans. I am also interested in physician and patient education. As course director for physical diagnosis and the medicine clerkship and nephrology fellowship director I have taught medical students, medical residents, and renal fellows. As Chief of nephrology at a teaching hospital in an urban area I was often involved in community outreach and patient education; these areas remain my primary interests.
