Dr. Valerie O'Hara is a pediatrician in Maine. She received her medical degree from University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and has been in practice over 25 years. She is duel certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and by the American Board of Obesity Medicine. She specializes in pediatric obesity and is the former medical director of the WOW ( Way to Optimal Weight) 4 Wellness Clinic and the WOW Clinic at NL EMMC: multidisciplinary pediatric weight management clinics. She serves on the Obesity Medicine Association Pediatric Committee,The Obesity Society Pediatric Committee, as well as the American Academy of Pediatrics Section on Obesity and the Obesity Action Coalition. She has multiple publications focusing on pediatric obesity, management and related complications. She first began offering pediatric obesity care via Telemedicine in 2015 and has presented nationally (NIH) and internationally on this topic.
Dr O'Hara continues to be an advocate for patients and access to equitable care.
