Valerie Gausman MD

Summary

• Valerie Gausman, MD, is a gastroenterologist with Atlantic Medical Group (AMG). Board-certified in internal medicine
  with a subspecialty in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Gausman provides inpatient
  and outpatient care for people with gastrointestinal (GI) tract conditions. In addition to treating a wide range of problems
  affecting the esophagus, stomach, pancreas, gallbladder, liver and intestines, she also performs various endoscopic
  procedures (a medical technique in which a doctor inserts a camera attached to a narrow tube into the body to check
  for digestive tract issues). Dedicated to helping people navigate challenging diagnoses, Dr. Gausman collaborates
  with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that her patients receive a comprehensive blend of cutting-edge therapy and
  compassionate care. She is fluent in English and Russian.
  After finishing her medical degree with Distinction in Research from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The
  Bronx, New York, Dr. Gausman completed both an internal medicine residency and a gastroenterology and hepatology
  fellowship at NYU Langone Health in New York City. Prior to joining AMG, she served as a clinical assistant professor of
  gastroenterology and hepatology at her alma mater, NYU Langone Health.
  Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Gausman conducts research. She is particularly focused on identifying risk factors and
  developing diagnostic tools for critical GI tract conditions. She has contributed to various peer-reviewed publications,
  including the Journal of Clinical Gastroenterology and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Dr. Gausman is a
  participating provider of the Atlantic Accountable Care Organization
