Summary
- I am an American physician, surgeon, author, scientist and educator specializing in Interventional Pain Management. In 2001, I have established first Interventional Pain Management Center at New York Downtown Hospital, later known as New York University Downtown Hospital, most recently known as New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, where I have served as Division Chief for over the decade.
I completed Interventional Pain Management Fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia School of Medicine and at New York Hospital, Cornell School of Medicine in 2001. As a fellow, I published scientific paper titled, “Multimodal Approaches to Improve Surgical Outcome” in the prestigious medical journal called Techniques in Regional Anesthesia and Pain Management.
I completed residency in Anesthesiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia School of Medicine in 2000. In 1997, I completed Internship in Internal Medicine at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Mount Sinai School of Medicine. In 1996 I received Medical Doctorate Degree with Distinction in Research from Stony Brook School of Medicine. As a medical student, I have conducted research at Stony Brook University Hospital, Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery under Dr. Thomas V. Bilfinger and at Old Westbury Neuroscience Research Institute under Dr. George B. Stefano. During my four years of medical school, I have published numerous research papers in various scientific journals including International Journal of Cardiology, International Journal of Immuno-pharmacology and Advances in Neuro-immunology Journal.
I have been recognized for my expertise in minimally invasive spine surgery, including endoscopic discectomy, MILD surgery, SCS implants, DRG stimulator implants, intrathecal pump implants to name a few.
