She was awarded as best graduate based on her academic performance during medical school. She completed her residency at Michael Reese Hospital affiliate of University of Illinois at Chicago. She has presented in national conference and published in peer reviewed journal. Dr. Syeda is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and by the ABIM Subspecialty Board on Rheumatology.
