Reviews

Very likely to recommend   July 2024

I called up the GW geriatric department on Friday morning July 19 with questions about my 103 year old mother who was experiencing a mild fever and cramps while taking antibiotics for possible lung infection. It was my very lucky day as I was blessed to get a prompt call back from Dr.Ashraf. Not only he showed compassion and professionalism, he listened intently and with much respect and kindness to my concerns and offered comfort and assurance. His knowledge was very obvious and discussed different options for mother’s treatment at home vs hospital. He had not even met my mother yet went out of his way to make a visit at home in his busy schedule and showed an amazing bedside manner. He examined my mother’s vital signs very thoroughly and treated her lad if she had been his patient for years and behaved like a son treating his own mother! I feel extremely blessed. He assured me he would follow up and named the doctors who would be on call over the weekend in case I needed to reach out. I can’t say enough positive things about doctor Umair Ashraf! I know that his patients and whoever comes his way will be in great caring hands! With much gratitude Safieh Hekmat, Saba Mansour’s daughter
