Summary
- I am a highly skilled Obstetric Gynecologist specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine, who has dedicated almost 20 years to passionately working hands-on to improve outcomes in women’s health, patient safety, and quality, with a commitment to reducing maternal morbidity and mortality.
I earned both my Bachelor’s and a Doctor of Medicine degrees at Brown University, and returned back to the Bronx community where I grew up and completed my Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Bronx, NY). I am highly committed to my community and after residency dedicated five years of clinical care to thousands of under-served pregnant women working with the National Health Service Corps at Lincoln Medical
and Mental Health Center (Bronx, NY).
During medical school, residency training, and my years as a Generalist, I encountered many high-risk patients facing challenges such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and infections in pregnancy. These experiences further inspired my goal to complete a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine (Winston Salem, North Carolina). After fellowship, I have remained committed to both providing evidence based clinical care directly to high risk pregnant women as well as being an instructor for physicians in continuing medical education, and serving as teaching faculty with the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at our national meetings.
My clinical interests include medical and surgical management of high-risk pregnancy, prenatal
diagnosis including performing Chorionic Villous Sampling (CVS) and amniocentesis, fetal
echocardiography, and obstetric simulation training.
I am board certified in both general Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
