- Tushar Mishra, MD, is a Cardiology fellow at Wayne State University/Detroit Medical Center in Detroit, going into Interventional Cardiology. Raised in India, he earned his medical degree from Sardar Patel Medical College in Bikaner before completing his internal medicine training at his current institution, where he also served as chief resident. Mishra’s research interests focus on understanding broad epidemiological trends through large database analysis of various topics in cardiology. His fields of clinical interests include hemodynamics, CAD, and preventive cardiology.
He is also enthusiastic about global health and completed a 2-year course in Global Leadership and Urban Equity at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has a passion for volunteerism, providing care to a variety of community health centers, World Health Organization camps, and tobacco cessation programs. Outside of his clinical duties, Mishra enjoys playing guitar, learning photography, and observing nature.
He will be joining further training in interventional cardiology at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York, where he will focus on coronary interventions and help disseminate medical advancements to a global population.
