- I am trained in both internal and preventive medicine, and have served as an Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer with the CDC. I have worked in public health at the local, state, federal and international levels. I currently serve as the Chief Medical Officer for Colorado's state health department. In 2017 I was appointed to CDC's Community Preventive Services Task Force, a panel of experts who review scientific evidence and make recommendations to guide national policy and practices in population health and prevention.
