  • Dr.Raman is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, received a Master’s Degree from Hunter College, and earned her M.D. from New Jersey Medical School. She completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and a fellowship in spine surgery at NYU Langone Hospital.
    Dr.Raman trained with leaders in the orthopaedic and spine surgery fields and her areas of clinical experience include minimally invasive and open techniques for degenerative spine disorders, adult and pediatric spine deformities and scoliosis, spinal infections and tumors, and disc arthroplasty.
    Dr.Raman has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles, and book chapters, and presented at international conferences. Her research interests include analysis of specific techniques and instrumentation, and long-term patient-reported and radiographic data. Dr.Raman’s research work in spinal deformity has won the Value Abstract Award from the North American Spine Society, as well as a nomination for the prestigious Hibbs Award from the Scoliosis Research Society. She is committed to advocating for spine surgery patients and has represented the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons on Capitol Hill to raise awareness about spine disorders and the importance of research to treat and prevent them.
    Dr.Raman’s hobbies include attending concerts at Juilliard, where she is an alumnus. She is passionate about creating better health outcomes and changing lives through high-quality patient care.
