- Dr. Timothy S. Johnson is a graduate of Yale University School of Engineering and School of Medicine in New Haven, CT. He completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency and Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery Fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, NY.
Dr. Tim Johnson is an Assistant Professor of Sports Medicine, Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He has been a Team Physician for Major League Baseball’s Baltimore Orioles since 2003.
He is experienced in the care of elite athletes participating in a variety of sports including the following: NCAA Division I- The St. Johns Redstorms, and the Iona College Gaels, the NFL’s New York Giants, MLB’s New York Mets, Minor League Baseball’s Hagerstown Suns and the Aberdeen Ironbirds.
In 2012 Dr. Johnson established the National Sports Medicine Foundation. The mission is to provide the highest standard of sports Orthopaedic care combined with outstanding programs of education, research, and performance enhancement to benefit athletes at all levels of competition.
