Summary
- I am a Professor of Anesthesia and the Section Head for Pediatric Anesthesia at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.. Although I specialize in pediatric anesthesia, I also maintain an active adult practice. I am a recognized national and international expert in the field of one lung ventilation in young children having published numerous articles and reviews. I also continue to pursue research related to airway management in pediatric patients with difficult airway pathology. Further, I maintain an active interest in other forms of clinical anesthesia research and regularly collaborate with other clinicians around the country and around the globe. I have over 60 publications and reviews and sit on the editorial board for the journal Pediatric Anesthesia. I review manuscripts for several high profile anesthesia journals and lecture regularly around the country on a number of anesthesia related topics. I am also the Director of Faculty Development for our department with nearly 130 faculty and enjoy assisting younger and mid career faculty with their professional development.
