Dr. Thomas Sherman is an orthopedic surgeon in Lancaster, PA and is affiliated with Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital. He received his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, completed orthopaedic residency at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington DC, and received additional training in the care of complex foot and ankle disorders at the esteemed Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Sherman specializes in foot & ankle surgery, orthopedic sports medicine, and orthopedic trauma. His surgical expertise includes correction of bunions, total ankle replacement, ankle ligament stabilization, flatfoot reconstruction, tendon surgery, arthroscopy, complex deformity reconstruction including the use of external fixation, and complex fracture treatment including ankle fractures, calcaneus fractures, and pilon fractures. Dr. Sherman is an active participant both locally and nationally with the American Orthopaedic Foot and and Society (AOFAS). He has published published multiple book chapters, reviews, peer reviewed research manuscripts, as well as presented his work at the AOFAS national meeting and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons national meeting.
