Summary

• Dr. Thomas Knackstedt received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed his residency training in dermatology at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire, serving as chief resident his final year. In 2016, he completed his fellowship in Mohs micrographic surgery and cutaneous oncology at Dermatology Professionals, Inc of Rhode Island. Dr. Knackstedt received extensive training with an emphasis on surgical technique, complex facial reconstruction, and nail surgery.
  
  He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters on skin cancer surgery, nail disease, and facial reconstruction. He serves on multiple professional committees of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American College of Mohs Surgery where he is also the editor of the reference library bibliography and host of a monthly dermatologic surgery podcast titled “Conversations in Mohs Surgery”.
  
  He is engaged in medical education, clinical research, and regularly presents at regional, national, and international meetings.
