• Thomas Black MD is the co-founder and managing partner of Napali Capital. He began his career in real estate overseeing residential mortgage loans at Wells Fargo Financial as an undergraduate. Following graduation from medical school, he began investing in real estate, eventually shifting his focus from single-family to multifamily housing and hospitality. To date has transacted in over a quarter billion dollars in real estate holdings.
  
  Black applied his real estate knowledge and experience to co-found Napali Capital, a Texas-based investment company specializing in multifamily housing and hospitality assets throughout the U.S. He started the company from his desire to provide those in the healthcare field with the opportunity to grow their personal wealth, allowing for better work/life balance.
  
  Black is board certified and residency training in emergency medicine. He continues to practice emergency medicine and serves as the president of a medical group that staffs for eight Baylor Scott and White Emergency Hospitals. Black is a 13-year veteran of the U.S. Armed Forces having served in the Navy, Army and Air Force branches.
