Summary

• After completing my undergraduate studies at UC Berkeley in molecular and cell biology and integrative biology, I pursued a masters in Kinesiology at SFSU. I gained experiences in preventive health practicing as a wellness coach for a few years. I then obtained two additional masters in community public health and physician assistant studies at Touro University, California. I have been practicing primary care for the past nine years with the last five years specializing in HIV medicine and psychiatry. I have also received formal training in healthcare leadership from the University of Arizona. From the start of my career, I have always been involved with non-profit organizations -- AIDS project of the East Bay, Primary Care at Home, Health Right 360, Pay What You Can, and now with Glenn Burke Oakland LGBTQ Clinic and Lifelong Medical Care -- in both clinical and leadership positions. I have come to understand and navigate through the intricacies and complexity of individual and system barriers, biopsychosocial factors, and the social determinants of health.
