- Dr. Teshamae Monteith is a professor of clinical neurology, chief of the headache division, and program fellowship director for headache medicine at the University of Miami. She completed her medical education at the University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine, followed by an internal medicine internship at Montefiore Medical Center and a neurology residency at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. She did headache medicine fellowships at Thomas Jefferson University, and the University of California, San Franscico. Her expertise covers headache medicine, in particular migraine and cluster headaches. She has authored several publications on migraine, other headache disorders and health disparities. She has contributed to clinical trials, in migraine and cluster headache. She is on the board of directors for the American Migraine Foundation and was previously on the board of directors for the International Headache Society. She holds several editorial positions in neurology and headache medicine.
