- Dr. Teresa Rummans is Professor of Psychiatry with expertise in geriatric psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine, working in Rochester, MN and Jacksonville, FL. She completed her medical education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received additional training in internal medicine and psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. She is Donald and Lucy Dayton Professor of Psychiatry. She has served as President of the Mayo Clinic Medical Staff in Rochester, MN, member of Board of Governors in Rochester, Mn, and Chair of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL. Dr. Rummans has worked in areas of neuropsychiatry, psycho-oncology and transplant psychiatry as well as geriatric psychiatry and consult-liaison psychiatry. She has been a part of NIH funded research in electroconvulsive therapy. More recently she has focused on impact of substance abuse and mental health impacts of COVID-19. She was recognized as a Regional Top Doctor by Castle Connolly in 2014.
