Dr. Terence Williams is the National Chair of Radiation Oncology for City of Hope including Southern California, Illinois, Georgia, and Arizona, and is a radiation oncologist based in Duarte, CA. He completed his MD, PhD, training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, followed by an internship in Internal Medicine and a residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Williams specializes in the treatment of lung and gastrointestinal cancers, the latter with a specific focus on pancreatic and hepatobiliary cancers. His NIH-funded research focuses on developing novel tumor-selective radiosensitization approaches, identifying novel targets in DNA repair and DNA damage response, molecular profiling, and nutrient scavenging. His clinical research is centered on biology-guided radiation therapy (BgRT) and experimental therapeutics.
