Tejas Kumar (they/them) is a third-year MD Candidate at Baylor College of Medicine. They are interested in pursuing Psychiatry with special interests in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Addiction Psychiatry. Tejas grew up in Sacramento, CA but has spent the past decade in the Houston Area. They are extremely passionate about working with underserved communities and dedicate time to counseling LGBTQ+ people through the Trevor Project and working to provide forensic evaluations for asylum seekers through Physicians for Human Rights. Outside of medicine, Tejas enjoys frequenting art museums and creating charcoal drawings, as well as watching their favorite sport, gymnastics.
