Summary

  • My career plan is to become a Board Certified Family Medicine, Sports Medicine, Global Medicine, and Wilderness Medicine Physician and contribute to my local community as part of a community medical group or in private direct primary care practice.

I have been actively involved in community wellness and family practice during my core medical training in Chicago and provided medical care to a range of populations, including a growing Hispanic/Latin community, West/Sub-Saharan/Syrian refugee population, underserved African-American and Afro-Caribbean populations, and displaced Ukrainian population during my medical training. The specifics of my training include preventative medicine, obstetric/gynecological care, pediatric/geriatric care, emergency/trauma-related care, and inpatient/outpatient psychiatric care.

After leaving Chicago, I continued my elective training throughout the US at Larkin Community Hospital in South Florida and Dignity Health California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles. I primarily served Latin, Hispanic, Afro-Caribbean, and South/East Asian populations during my training in these hospital systems. During my training at these institutions, I became proficient in the nuances of both inpatient and outpatient care, including multiple EMR systems, consultations, billing, transfer of care, prior authorizations, etc.

After my time in both of these hospital systems, I went to Cho Ray Hospital in Saigon, Vietnam, to continue my clinical training in Tropical Diseases, Rheumatology, and Oncology. During my time here, I was exposed to the clinical workup of Malaria, Dengue Fever, Snakebites, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, Adrenal Insufficiency, and many more pathologies not seen in the United States Medical System.
