- Physician-Scientist, experienced in designing, implementing, and evaluating clinical trials. In my current role, I am initiating a clinical trial to evaluate a monoclonal antibody for GI disease. I have implemented 2 large international phase 2/3 trial of a monoclonal antibody against RSV at AstraZeneca. I am evaluating safety and efficacy. I am skilled at signal monitoring for safety and efficacy of drugs, including ongoing pharmacovigilance. I have a passion for innovation and treatment of HIV and infectious diseases. I have seen and contributed to HIV drug development and complications from HIV at the FDA and clinical practice. I bring with me 15 years of broad expertise as an academician in infectious disease and internal medicine. In academia, I led many multi-disciplinary research and patient care teams and clinics. I provided innovative ideas from being a Principal Investigator and co-investigator in multi-centered NIH sponsored clinical trials, pharmaceutical trials, and investigator initiated trials. I navigate complex problems and provide teaching excellence. I am board certified in Infectious Diseases and Internal Medicine.
