- Dr. Tania Cortas is a board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist specialized in the treatment of thoracic, gastrointestinal, breast malignancies, skin malignancies, lymphomas and benign blood disorders. She has special interest in Breast Oncology and Survivorship. She earned her medical degree from the American University of Beirut. She then completed her residency in internal medicine followed by a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland where she also served as an assistant professor of internal medicine. She started practicing medical oncology and hematology at Louis Stokes VA hospital and University Hospitals of Cleveland. During that time, she was appointed Associate Chairperson of the cancer center committee and cancer registry quality coordinator. In 2017, she earned a degree as a Certified Physician Executive. Dr. Cortas strives for compassion and empathy in treating her patients. She believes in personalized care and in treating patients like family.
