Summary

  • Dr. Tali Arik is a RETIRED cardiologist who until May 2024 was in Redding California and Pahrump Nevada (since Jan 2005). He received his medical degree from University of Louisville School of Medicine 1981 and has been in practice 38 years. He specializes in echocardiography and nuclear cardiology with expertise in cardiology practice in underserved communities.
In July 2022 he sold his practice Pahrump Cardiology and Family Practice to P3 Health Partners and relocated to Redding California to develop cardiology services there and North California as far as Oregon to the North and Nevada to the East
On July 5 2023 he re-opened a new cardiology office to serve the underserved community of Pahrump with outpatient consultation and state-of-the-art Echo and PET cardiac imaging. Pahrump Valley Cardiology.
He worked in Redding Mon-Wed and would fly United from Redding to Las Vegas or Southwest from Sacramento to Las Vegas then make the one hour drive to work Thurs-Sat in Pahrump, returning to Redding on Sunday.
Sadly, Medicare Advantage plans absorbed the great majority of Medicare patients in Pahrump and Nye County making the practice unprofitable.
The practice was closed in May 2024 and he chose to leave the Redding practice also.
Dr Arik has come full circle. His father graduated from the University of Istanbul in 1946 came to America in 1953 and was a prominent Kentucky psychiatrist becoming Director of the once KY State Hospital in Danville which closed in 1973 as community-based outpatient psychiatry developed. The family moved back to Louisville and that was the reason the "younger Dr Arik" attended UL School of Medicine. He is now happily retired in Istanbul as a dual citizen satisfied with a long career in cardiology and fulfilling his parent's dream of ultimately returning to Türkiye. He "knew when to leave".
