  • Dr. T-Y Hsia is the Chief of pediatric and congenital cardiac surgery at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, FL. He obtained BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering at MIT and MD at Stanford University School of Medicine. His surgical training included general and cardiothoracic surgery residencies at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and congenital cardiac surgery fellowship at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Previously, he was an attending pediatric cardiac surgeon at Medical University South Carolina, a Consultant Cardiac Surgeon at Great Ormond Hospital for Children (London, England), and chief of pediatric cardiac surgery at Yale. In addition, he was a Professor of Cardiac Surgery at University of College London, Yale University and now at University of Central Florida. Dr. Hsia's clinical expertise includes all aspects of neonatal, pediatric and adult congenital heart surgery. He has an extensive research activity, especially in the field of engineering/computational methods in single ventricle physiology, and has over 300 publications in reputable journals such as Circulation, Journal of Biomechanics, Journal of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, and Annals of Thoracic Surgery. He is also recognized as a Fellow by the American College of Cardiology and the Royal Society of Medicine (UK).
