Summary
- I am a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with fellowship subspecialty training in foot and ankle surgery. I am a lifelong Houstonian with the exception of obtaining my undergraduate at St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas and my medical degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. I graduated 5th in my medical school class out of 246 students and was selected to the prestigious medical school honors society Alpha Omega Alpha. I returned to Houston for residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School. I completed my training there and received the highest resident honors award, the Arthur Jansa Courage to Lead Award. While in residency in the Texas Medical Center, I received extensive trauma and fracture care management training in addition to thorough training in sports medicine, joint reconstruction, extremity injuries and pathologic conditions. I followed residency with a year of fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery in Houston at the University of Texas McGovern Medical School. Following my fellowship, I was hired by UT Physicians and now have my primary practice locations in the Pearland and South East Houston region. I have achieved the position of Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and teach both residents and fellows at the McGovern Medical School. My personal clinical interests include lower extremity sports injury, trauma and fracture care, ankle replacement, ankle arthroscopy, ankle and foot reconstruction, ACL reconstruction, knee arthroplasty, carpal tunnel surgery and general trauma/injury care of the upper and lower extremity.
