• Dr. Shirley is the founding doctor of Family First Pediatrics and has been a primary care pediatrician since 2002. Dr. Shirley was born and raised in the Northwest Houston area and attended St. Mary's University for his undergraduate education. Dr. Shirley then returned to Houston to attend University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston for medical school and completed his pediatric training at Driscoll Children's Hospital in Corpus Christi. Following residency Dr. Shirley entered the United States Air Force as a pediatrician, serving for 5 years in Del Rio, Texas, and Hawaii. Once Dr. Shirley's military service was complete, his family decided to move back to Houston to open a practice in Spring. Dr. Shirley is married and the father of three beautiful girls. Dr. Shirley is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and licensed to practice in the state of Texas.
