She completed her Internal Medicine Residency, Internal Medicine Chief Residency and Endocrinology and Metabolism Fellowship at University of California, Irvine. Clinical interests include all forms of diabetes mellitus, thyroid conditions including thyroid nodules and thyroid cancer, parathyroid conditions, pituitary conditions, gonadal disorders and transgender medicine. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, home improvement, hiking and traveling. Dr. Ahern strives to provide high quality, comprehensive as well as evidence based care for her patients.
