Summary
- I grew up in South Texas before moving to Houston to attend Rice University and Baylor College of Medicine. After receipt of my medical degree, I remained at Baylor College of Medicine to complete residency training in both internal medicine and pediatrics, as well as dual fellowship training in both pediatric and adult endocrinology, diabetes, and metabolism. My dual fellowship training has allowed me to spend time with the nation’s experts, learning how to treat a variety of conditions ranging from pediatric thyroid disorders at Texas Children’s Hospital to endocrine cancers at MD Anderson Cancer Center. During this time, I received commendations for clinical excellence as well as scholarly contributions from Baylor College of Medicine and the Endocrine Society.
