Summary
- I am a medical oncologist and clinician investigator specialized in breast cancer, with a particular focus in hormone receptor positive disease, triple positive breast cancer and breast cancer in men. I have a strong commitment to multidisciplinary and cross functional team development as well as educational leadership as integral parts of my career philosophy.
As part of my philosophy, patient centeredness must the primary driver of value in any healthcare system and the business of medicine must not be given priority over patient well being. Within this concept and as we step outside the box of current healthcare systems, physicians have a responsibility to take more leadership roles in order to restore the core values of the Medical Profession, rather than remain solely as providers or programmatic developers.
