Dr. Sudhakar Selvaraj is a Psychiatrist and Physician-scientist in Houston, TX and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) and University of Texas Harris County Psychiatric Center. He received his medical degree from India, and then completed psychiatry residency in Oxford, United Kingdom, where he also earned his doctoral degree. After a clinical lecurership and fellowship at Institute of Psychiatry and Maudsley Hospital, London, he become a faculty at psychiatry department, UTHealth, Houston. He is experienced in the study and treatment of mood disorders specificaly, he provides care for people with difficult to treat major depression, bipolar disorder, pregnancy and postpartum depression, epilepsy and neuropsychiatric conditions, and anxiety disorders. His research is funded by National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and SAMHSA.
