Summary
- Steven Montner, MD, is actively involved in the administrative leadership at the University of Chicago Medicine (UCM), having chaired numerous hospital committees as well as recently serving as President of the Medical Staff Organization. Dr. Montner is presently the interim-Chair of the University of Chicago Department of Radiology, overseeing a significant period of growth to additional sites in the greater Chicago area.
Dr. Montner specializes in pulmonary imaging. He analyzes and interprets chest radiographs and CT scans for thoracic diseases and has expertise in interstitial lung disease and diseases of the large and small airways.
Through his research, Dr. Montner has worked with The University of Chicago section of pulmonary medicine studying how imaging plays a role in the characterization of interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, and occupational lung disease. He has authored or co-authored over 45 peer-reviewed articles that have been published in scientific journals and given numerous presentations internationally.
