Steven Mattheos, MD is an experienced board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Newburyport, MA. His expertise includes Orthopedic Sports Medicine, with a focus on sports medicine and knee surgery, as well as arthroscopic shoulder surgery. Dr. Mattheos completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at Harvard Medical school, which inculded Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women's Hospital, Boston Children's Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital from 2003 - 2008, followed by a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at New England Baptist Hospital in 2008 - 2009. He received his undergraduate degree from Amherst College in 1997 and his medical degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2003. Dr. Mattheos has a special interest in robotic knee surgery which he has been utilizing since 2015.
