Summary

  • I am a physician-engineer specialized in critical care medicine and the use of mechanical support to maintain patients with advanced circulatory and respiratory failure. I obtained my undergraduate degree in electrical engineering at Purdue University, my master's in semiconductor physics at Cambridge University, and my doctorate in biomedical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. I earned my medical degree at Stanford University followed by residency training in internal medicine at the Massachusetts General Hospital and fellowships in critical care medicine at the National Institutes of Health and pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. My research is focused on furthering understanding of advanced mechanical support of organ failure and improving outcomes in critically ill patients.
