Summary
- Retired as Chancellor of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) after 17 years (Dean of Medicine 4 years, Chancellor 13 years). UTHSC is a four campus system home campus in Memphis TN with 3 regional campuses each with large residency programs, faculty practices, and Hospital Partners. (Memphis- Memphis VA, Regional One Health, Le Bonheur and St Jude Children's Hospitals, Knoxville-UT Medical Center, Chattanooga-Erlanger Health System, Nashville- Ascension St Thomas System). I remain on the teaching and research faculty in Nephrology and serve on several health and hospital boards. I continue to work actively as one of the original editors of "Uptodate" the online text of Medicine.
