• Stephen Kay, MD, FACS is a board-certified plastic surgeon with 25+ years of clinical practice experience. He is a graduate of Cornell University Medical College. He trained in General Surgery at The New York Hospital, Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and The Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. His Plastic Surgery training was at The University of Miami Hospitals and was followed by Fellowship in Craniofacial Surgery with Paul Tessier, MD in Paris, France. Dr. Kay has received recognition as a top plastic surgeon by many national and local Washington DC area publications. He was elected President of The National Capital Society of Plastic Surgeons, and has been teaching students and residents throughout his career. He was founder of The Surgery Center of Chevy Chase in 1998 and has served as Medical Director.
  He has extensive experience in managing outpatient surgical facilities including expertise in facility operations, risk management, patient safety, personnel management, insurance contracting and billing.
