Dr. Jones successfully completed Executive Leadership training at the Yale School of Management.
He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine and double board certified in Internal and Geriatric Medicine.
His was the former Associate Program Director of Medical Education and Residency Training and Director of Outpatient Medicine and Geriatrics at Greenwich Hospital. He serves as a physician leader within the Yale System Quality Council and the Yale System Clinical Advisory Committee.
In demand as a speaker and commentator, Dr. Jones has testified before the Senate Committee on Home Land Security as an expert in his field and addressed prestigious organizations such as The Conference Board, the World Affairs Forum and Contingency Planning Management. He has spoken across the US promoting safety science and Just Culture in high-consequence industries including healthcare.
A professional member of the National Speakers Association, he has lectured nationally and locally on numerous subjects involving healthcare in America. He has also served as an instructor for the Yale Institute for Excellence.
In 2014 he received the Senior Operations Healthcare Management Award for Leadership and Innovation.
Over the past several years he has been consistently named to New York Magazine and New York Metro’s “Top Doctors” list.
Dr. Jones has been a featured medical commentator on the PBS national television series “Healing Quest” and a TV news medical commentator on Cable Network News and Fox News. The former host and moderator of “Medical Journal” on Cablevision, he has also made numerous local and national radio appearances and been quoted in many publications, including The New York Times, Forbes, and Bloomberg BusinessWeek.
