Summary

• Dr. Stephanie Ruest, based in Providence, RI, is a specialist in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She completed her pediatrics residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Brown University. She currently practices at Hasbro Children's Hospital. She also obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at Brown University. Her published research includes work on child abuse, pediatric intentional and accidental trauma, adolescent substance use and it's relationship with trauma, and food insecurity. She is the Hasbro Children's Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine Pediatric Trauma Liaison and was awarded the 2024 Department of Emergency Medicine Outstanding Contribution to Clinical Service Award, the 2023 Department of Emergency Medicine Outstanding Young Investigator Research Award, and the 2022 Department of Emergency Medicine PEM Rising Star Faculty Award. Dr. Ruest was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 2011.
