Summary
- It has been a privilege over my 30+ career as a practicing OBGYN to advocate for and care for the needs of women, and bridge the world of research and academia with frontline care delivery. My role as founder of Doctors Office for Women in Orange County, CA, allowed me to create innovative care delivery models in our community. As a result of the success of that model, I collaborated with Hoag Memorial Hospital (Prespitarian) in Newport Beach, CA to design and develop a premier women's healthcare program. The community showed support and enthusiasm for this vision of women’s care by donating an astonishing 70 million dollars over a three-year time frame.
My evolving interest in good health and good aging lead me to co-author a book on the science of and clinic effects of chronic stress published by Simon & Schuster called “So Stressed: The Ultimate Stress Relief Plan for Women”. As my journey has further progressed, I now have the remarkable opportunity to be the Chief Medical Officer of Tia, and the first practicing OB/GYN at Tia's NYC Clinic — an outpatient gynecology, primary care and wellness practice. At Tia, we've inculcated the preventive women's care model I've practiced for decades as a frontline provider with technology and experience design to facilitate a transparent, collaborative, and transformational healthcare experience for providers and patients alike. Committed to serving the needs of both patients and providers equally, we are on a mission to scale this integrative women's care model to service a broad demographic of women, improving outcomes for patients, providers and the healthcare system at large.
