Overview of Dr. Chen
Dr. Stephanie H Chen, MD is an Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery who specializes in cerebrovascular, endovascular, and brain tumors at the University of Washington and Harborview Medical Center. She graduated from New York University, summa cum laude with a B.S. in neuroscience. She received her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh with highest honors and completed residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. She completed two cerebrovascular/endovascular fellowships at the University of Miami and University of Washington. Dr. Chen's research focuses on inflammation in acute stroke as well as the development of new therapies and clinical trials for cerebrovascular disease. She is the author of numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters and has received research funding from the National Institutes of Health as well as other national and regional grants. Dr. Chen's main clinical interests include cerebrovascular, endovascular, brain tumors, and skull base surgery.
