He continued his training with fellowship at the National Cancer Institute of the National Institutes of Health, focusing on Urologic Oncology.

    During his fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, Dr. Vourganti collaborated with world experts in clinical care, basic science, and engineering to develop new ideas and bring them to the clinic. He is particularly interested in refining translational imaging-based platforms as well as minimally invasive, image-targeted focal therapy.

    His approach to medicine emphasizes a personalized approach and focuses on maintaining the delicate balance between aggressive treatment of cancer and maximizing the quality of life for his patients.
