Dr. Spencer Pruitt is a pediatrician based in Amarillo, TX, specializing in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine. He completed his medical education at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth and pursued residency and chief residency in Pediatrics at Our Lady of The Lake, followed by a fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Currently, he serves as Medical Director at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at Amarillo and is also affiliated with BSA Health System. Dr. Pruitt has experience in central venous catheter placement, continuous renal replacement therapy, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation, pediatrics, and arterial line placement/management. His research contributions include publications on topics like tracheostomy care and ECMO rescue in critical conditions. He has received several awards, including Fellowship from the American Academy of Pediatrics and an International Elective Award from the Society of International and Child Health.
