Summary

  • Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Dr. Rofagha graduated Summa Cum Laude from The Ohio State University in 2000. She continued her medical training at Ohio State and received a Masters of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health. She completed residency and vitreoretinal fellowship at University of California, San Francisco. Upon completion of fellowship training, she joined the faculty at UCSF and then joined East Bay Retina Consultants, Inc. in 2013. Dr. Rofagha has special interests in diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration as well as complex retinal detachment repair. She serves as Principal Investigator for several macular degeneration trials and has authored numerous papers in the peer-reviewed ophthalmic literature. Dr. Rofagha is an Assistant Professor at University of California, San Francisco and holds active memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Retina Specialists, the California Medical Association and the Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association. She is Board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is member of the Society of Heed Fellows. She has also received numerous awards including Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha and was named a Harry S. Truman Scholar.
