Overview of Dr. Singh
Dr. Shridevi Singh is a Society of Surgical Oncology Fellowship-Trained Breast Surgical Oncologist and Board-Certified Surgeon who specializes in surgeries for breast cancers and benign breast disease, using advanced oncoplastic techniques and aesthetic scar placements.
She received her medical school degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine where her clinical/patient experience learning was in NY Hospitals. She was inducted in the Alpha Omega Phi Honor Society due to her dedication of community service, exhibition of leadership and her high academic achievements in her medical school class.
Dr. Singh’s surgical training was at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York; a level one trauma center. During her training, she published 2 online surgical education book chapters and 6 peer-reviewed journal articles on surgical studies. She presented at national surgical conferences, won a best presentation award, and earned a resident teaching award when she was the Chief Surgical Resident.
She completed a Society of Surgical Oncology Breast Surgery Fellowship at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey in New Brunswick, New Jersey, which is a National Cancer Institute-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. She is a board-certified surgeon by the American Board of Surgery and is a member of several professional organizations, such as the American Society of Breast Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, American College of Surgeons, and Association of Women Surgeons.
Dr. Shridevi Singh now practices in West Islip, Long Island providing compassionate breast cancer patient-centered care with a team-based approach that is focused on evidence-based care. Patient education and shared-decision making is of vital importance to Dr. Singh, as she provides up-to-date personalized care plans for her patients. She also cares for patients who are at high risk for breast cancer and/or have benign breast disease.
