  • Shree Venkat, MD is an Assistant Professor of Interventional Radiology at University of Miami-Miller School of Medicine. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Detroit, Michigan. After obtaining a BSE in Chemical engineering, and a BA in English Language and Literature at University of Michigan, she completed medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. After residency, she completed her Interventional radiology (VIR) fellowship at University of Miami-Miller School of Medicine where she continues to practice.

    Dr. Venkat is Board-Certified in Diagnostic radiology with a Certificate of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Vascular and Interventional Radiology from the American Board of Radiology. Her research interests favor interventional oncology techniques to manage localized cancer with focus on chemoembolization, and tumor ablation. In this field of study, she has coauthored several publications in peer-reviewed journals as well as given invited talks in scientific meetings for example at Synergy and AIM symposium in 2016. Clinical service is also balanced with participation on the Clinical Competency committee for the VIR fellowship program.
